Slow Pulse of Life & Death is a series of terracotta and white-slip urns, bowls, and tumblers, adorned with hand-painted, dirty-cobalt images of riroriros, snails, slugs, moths, centipedes, and silent watchers. Created during our September 2026 residency at Driving Creek Pottery, the collection is inspired by the slow, gentle rhythm of life and death on the forest floor—a space to hold grief and breathe after the loss of our beloved Steve (Rosie’s Dad). Thrown on a kick wheel, each piece carries a wabi-sabi sensibility, honoring imperfection and the quiet beauty of the handmade.
